I visited Spain for the first time and talked to engineers in Barcelona and Girona about the European tech scene. 1️⃣ The compensation gap between a Big Tech company and a local company is *massive* - 4x or 5x TC difference.

Computer Science is, by far, the most popular major now at colleges like Stanford. This was not the case 10 years ago. I saw the shift from BA degrees to BS degrees while I was a student in the early 2010s:
